London, UK, November 28, 2023 – African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and King’s College London (“KCL” or” King’s”) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) that sets the stage for initiating a scoping study that will determine the feasibility of their plan to jointly establish of a state-of-the-art medical and nursing school alongside the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) in Abuja, Nigeria.

Cairo, 03 June 2021: – African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has announced the commencement of its African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) project in Abuja, Nigeria. It will provide world-class care to both low and high-income patient groups across the continent. The Bank recently formalised its long-term collaboration with King’s College Hospital, London (KCH) on the project when it signed an agreement appointing KCH the Clinical Partner of the AMCE.

Cairo, 20 April 2017 – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has selected Nigeria as the preferred country to host the first of its Centres of Excellence for Healthcare Services in Africa. Following a strategic alliance they formed in 2014, Afreximbank and King’s College Hospital, London (KCH), are establishing a network of centres of excellence in tertiary healthcare across Africa to deliver a range of specialist healthcare services for patients.
